For those of you flying JetBlue in the next 24 hours (including myself), you’re going to want to keep an eye on your flight if you live in or are traveling to a weather-affected area. But there’s a problem: the flight status links on their site are down, and nobody feels like waiting on the phone for 30 minutes to talk to an agent.
Here’s a work-around: The JetBlue Twitter team has been heroic in its efforts to reply to every request. Mine was answered within ten minutes of asking.
Just a note: I am not a social media expert and still have trouble figuring out Twitter sometimes. It’s not hard; if I can do it, anyone can. The main page at Twitter.com will allow you to sign up for an account. Once you do, look for the search box in the top right-hand corner. It will look like this:
At the bottom of the page that comes up, click on “go to full profile”
On the next page, click on Tweets & replies, as seen below:
You’ll now be on the page where the JetBlue Twitter team is answering questions. On the left side, look for the blue button labeled “Tweet to.” If you click on that button, it will send a Tweet to JetBlue, which should get answered and be put on the page in several minutes. Most people are asking about flight status, but Twitter is a great resource when you have a problem that needs an immediate answer.Want to subscribe?
