If you are from the United States, you may never have heard the name “Club Accor,” although you’ve probably heard of at least some of its brands, which include Sofitel and Novotel. There’s a reason for that: There are under 100 Accor hotels in the US, slightly fewer than the 4,000 or so in western Europe. They are generally decent brands, though, and run the gamut in terms of quality, so there should always be something in your price range.
Points for Stays
Rule number 1: Always register for free promotions. In this case, you can register here for the Accor promo. The terms of the promo are simple. Book by February 12 for stays through April 9 and receive the following:
- 500 points for your first stay of two nights or more
- An additional 2,500 points for your second stay
- 3,000 more points for your third stay during the promo period
And that’s all.
Earning and Burning at Accor
The downside to having this many brands is that the program becomes complicated. In this case, it takes an advanced degree in calculus to figure out just how many points you will earn for every 10 Euros that you spend. The chart is above.
Looking to use your points? They convert to cash. 2,000 points gets you a credit for 40 Euros, which you can use toward payment of your bill.Want to subscribe? Just enter your email in the box above (and to the right) and click on the confirmation. GMailers, check your Social or Promotions boxes!
