Redeem your JetBlue miles between now and Saturday and you’ll get even more value if you book flights between September 6 and November 7.
Get A 25% Discount
I love the flash sales that JetBlue offers, even if they are only for a few days. Today’s looks like it’s going to be particularly valuable.
Book your flight by this Saturday and you will receive a 25% discount on the number of points it takes to purchase the ticket. The tickets generally play out with each point worth about 1.5 cents (e.g., a $150 ticket would cost 10,000 points, since 10,000*1.5 cents = $150.), but this discount will push their value up to about two cents each.*
A couple of things to know:
- The price on the website already reflects the 25% discount. In other words, what you see is what you get.
- Not all of the Mint fares appear to be generating a discount. The high-end Mint tickets, which run $1,149 (one-way), aren’t showing a 25% discount off their traditional levels.
And that’s it. Book fast before the deal expires!
Hat tip: Mommy Points
Beginner’s Hint: Unlike other carriers, which have a fixed redemption cost to fly to a particular geography (e.g., Many airlines will charge you 25,000 miles whether you fly from New York to Minneapolis, Des Moines or LA), JetBlue bases the redemption cost on the cash price of the ticket, a far saner solution, since it allows you to use your points for any flight. A more expensive flight will cost you a few more points, but there are no restrictions or blackout days.
