End of Year Promotions from Marriott, Hyatt

Apparently, many of the major hotel companies are doing better than I thought they were, since they sure aren’t giving bonuses that inspire me to switch brands.

Marriott MegaBonus

Ouch. This one is downright lousy. Marriott’s MegaBonus is possibly the weakest one yet. The kicker for this one is that you get to choose which bonus to go for. The first option is that you get a 5,000 point bonus after two stays during the promotional period (Sept 15 – Jan 15). The other option is 10,000 points for every 10 nights you stay, up to a maximum of 50,000 points. Not exactly something to get me excited. I certainly wouldn’t switch to Marriott hotels for this promotion.

Hyatt. More Points. More Play.

Another one of those promotions where I have to remind people that I didn’t name it.

This promotion actually isn’t bad; I’m still dealing with the insult from Marriott above. Hyatt’s promo is one of its tiered bonuses. You’ll get more points the more nights you stay. Your reward, particularly at the top end, is a pretty good one. Hyatt is one of my favorite programs but, unfortunately, doesn’t have nearly the variety of hotels that its competitors do.

You Can Also Sign up for Hilton

A few days ago, I discussed the Hilton double points promotion. At the time, the link wasn’t active. It is now.
