Chase Sapphire Reserve Bonus Being Cut in A Week

Several months ago, Chase launched the Sapphire Reserve card, kind of the “Henry K Duff’s Private Reserve” to the normal Chase Sapphire’s Duff Beer. The card has a sticker price of $450 (which will actually turn out to be $150 for you after a rebate) but comes with a ton of features, including airport lounge access and a 100,000 point sign-up bonus, which is worth $1,500 in travel. It also offers big rebates for travel and at restaurants.

Alas, the bonus is going away. Or, at least half of it is going away. In a week or so, the bonus for spending $4,000 in the first three months is dropping to 50,000 points. Still good, not great.

The bottom line: If you want the bigger bonus, visit the travel banner on the Credit Cards for Charity page. It’s still there for now.
